Tobi O. Osinubi popularly known as Shinobi is a Lagos-born Port Harcourt-based fast rising artiste. The foundation of music for him started in high school, where he was a high-scoring student who never felt his true intelligence was expressed through a report card.DOWNLOAD AUDIO
He found music was the best way to express himself, and after taking the name Lil? Toby, he began writing rhymes on beats he produced. Combining a strong work ethic with aggressive self-promotion, Shinobi began recording songs and working on an album before getting into the university. Admission into the University shifted the rapper?s focus and put the album on hold.
While in the university, he released the infectious single – Someday which featured fellow student, Emmsong. Shinobi raised his profile by popping up on mixtapes and remixes including collaborations with Benny Paladin and has worked with ace producers such as SamKlef, Gem, SeanzBeatz and JoshBeatz; to mention but a few.
His own style, a fusion of Hip-Hop, R&B and Reggae. One word describes his kind of music? Eccentric!
Shinobi makes an impressive debut here on PHcityPromo.com by enlisting the self acclaimed ‘Lion From The South’, Loxxy in the Mr. Brown produced mid-tempo track titled TAKE IT DOWN.
