(AM MUSIC): Rae Sremmurd – DoYoga

Unfortunately, Rae Sremmurd’s SremmLife 2 won’t be the summer soundtrack we had hoped for, as the release has been pushed back into mid-August.

The delay was probably a smart move, though, as the Ear Drummers duo needed a couple more huge singles to help drive up the anticipation for the follow-up to their much beloved debut album. “By Chance” has stayed hot for most of the year, and “Look Alive” — especially with its new video — is a lock in the current summer rotation. Their new single, though…man oh man. Now “#DoYoga” is what we’ve been waiting for from the grooviest duo in hip-hop.  The Sremm bros use the new track to describe their favorite type of girls, those that #DoYoga during the day and get high at night. It’s a mellowed-out hippie club anthem that has the same type of carefree charm as past hits like “This Could Be Us” and “No Type.” Though SremmLife 2 might not arrive until late into the season, make no mistake — it’s gonna be an Ear Drummer Summer.
